Join us as Festa Italiana celebrates 11 years of Italian culture at the Covent Garden Market, this year with more great entertainment and Opera.
This year, on the three days of festivities you can enjoy the TD Bank Group supports Youth Artists. Venue is coming from Windsor, to bring that authentic “Taste of Italy” all three nights of dancing under the stars. This year we have a free, outdoor festival on the Rotary Square, apply dubbed the piazza.
Tricar Group has made it possible to present to festival goers, world-renowned, Maestro Sabatino Vacca and the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, together with Rachel Cleland, Soprano, Charles Di Raimondo, Tenor and internationally-acclaimed Jeffery Carl, Baritone presenting “La Traviata”. Also, Dr. Damjana Bratuz will be lecturing on Italian Opera, which is the theme for this year’s festival.
Back by popular demand is the stunning voice of Soprano and Classical Crossover Artist, Victoria Gydov. Orlando Valencia’s Pachanga Band will join us this year with Italo-Latin sounds joined by Don DiCarlo on piano and Paul Stevenson on trumpet. Caroline Ferraro, Soprano, as well as Genevieve Fisher, Country Music Artist will be joining us this year.
All of this happens because of our generous sponsors. Southside Group has taken the lead again as Title Sponsor to give Festa Italiana stable ground on which to spring forward. This continued generosity helps to offset the costs of realizing this festival and being able to give proceeds to the Italian Seniors’ Project whose dream of building seniors’ housing has come to fruition. Seniors are living at Residenza Italia, 1109 Hamilton Road – all this thanks to relentless work both by the directors and the committed volunteers.
